About The Author 

Onyeka Akumah is the Founder & CEO of Treepz – Africa’s leading corporate mobility startup with more than 5 million customers. He is recognized across Africa as a distinguished serial entrepreneur with a remarkable track record in building and leading high-impact ventures. His journey began with academic excellence, graduating top of his class with a distinction in software engineering. 

Onyeka Akumah’s entrepreneurial spirit is evident in his successful ventures, each addressing unique needs and challenges within the African market. He co-founded Treepz, the largest corporate mobility platform in Africa operating in 6 countries and serving 5 million customers already. His earlier ventures, Farmcrowdy (one of Africa’s largest agriculture technology companies), RentSmallSmall (Nigeria’s largest property technology startup), and Qwikgist (a social news aggregator he sold to a media company), further showcase his diverse interests and ability to identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

Onyeka is an award-winning speaker and has shared his insights on global stages, including the prestigious University of Toronto delivering a keynote speech on “The Future of Mobility is Shared.” He has been also a visiting lecturer at Rome Business School for more than 2 years. His achievements have not gone unnoticed; he was recently named a Techstars Global All-Star Mentor and has received numerous prestigious awards, including Startup Mentor of the Year 2024, Africa’s Top CEOs Under 40 in 2024, Choiseul 200 Africa, and African Leadership Person of the Year by the African Business Report, alongside notable figures such as the Presidents of Nigeria and Ghana and the DG of the World Health Organization.
